I pray that you will love the Lord with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength. May you have an intimate, personal relationship with God, Who is Sovereign over your life and the Source of all goodness, and may you continually abide in His Presence where there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). I pray that you will seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness above all else, knowing that as you keep your focus upon and delight in Jesus, ‘the Author and Perfecter of your faith’, that He will meet your every need, including granting you the desires of your heart (Hebrews 12:2; Matthew 6:33; Psalm 37:4). I pray you will worship, honor, and revere God and keep His commandments so that you will fulfill your duty in life and live for the purpose for which you were created—to give God pleasure and glory (Ecclesiastes 12:13; (Isaiah 43:7-8). I pray that you will be full of faith like Abraham, forgiving like Joseph, humble like Moses, bold and courageous like Joshua, have a heart after God’s like David, be gifted with the wisdom of Solomon, have the obedient spirit of Ezekiel, the leadership skills of Nehemiah, and a sense of total commitment and contentment regardless of your circumstances like the apostle Paul. I pray that you will live with eternity in mind, and that you will grow in wisdom, in knowledge, in stature, and in favor with God and with man, bringing joy to all who know you, especially to your parents and to your Heavenly Father (Luke 2:52) Amen.
