The Word of God will bring us comfort and the perfect peace of God if we believe it. When you experience anxiety, it can make all of the difference in your state of being if you remind yourself of the truth found in scripture. Below are 15 Christian affirmations for anxiety to repeat to yourself when you experience those emotions.

Christian Affirmations for Anxiety to Repeat to Yourself

  1. God’s perfect love casts out all fear.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love” (1 John 4:18 ESV).

  1. Nothing will separate me from God’s love.

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38-39 ESV).

  1. God will deliver me.

“Because He holds fast to me in love, I will deliver Him; I will protect Him, because He knows my name. When He calls to me, I will answer Him; I will be with Him in trouble; I will rescue Him and honor Him” (Psalm 91:14-15 ESV).

  1. God’s love is unwavering.

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; Your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord” (Psalm 36:5-6 ESV).

  1. God gives me a spirit of power, love, and self-control.

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (1 Timothy 1:7 ESV).

  1. God calls me His child, whom He loves.

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:132-13 ESV)

  1. God knows I am still a sinner yet still loves me.

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8 ESV).

  1. God knows the distress of my soul and loves me the same.

“I will rejoice and be glad in Your steadfast love, because You have seen my affliction; You have known the distress of my soul” (Psalm 31:7 ESV).

  1. God will carry me through every moment.

“Even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save” (Isaiah 46:4 ESV).

   10) God will never forget me.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:15-16 ESV).

    11) I have been saved by grace, not by my achievements.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV).

    12) In my stress and anxiety, He will give me rest.

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 ESV).

     13) God will uphold and strengthen me so I do not need to fear.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 ESV).

    14) God is always with me so I never need to fear.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9 ESV).

    15) God carries my burdens.

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved” (Psalm 55:22 ESV).
